Scottie Dog

Calvin's made a new Scottie dog as the Gallery on the Corner loved the previous one he did on commission. He's finished it and is very happy with it.

Octopus

Here's the octopus Calvin has done this week. He just needs to wait for it to dry before it goes in the kiln.

Arts Trust Scotland

Good news today. Calvin got some funding from Arts Trust Scotland today in the form of a cheque. It will help him to fully equip a wee studio and help pay for all his materials that he needs too.

Gorilla cards and envelope

As well as the English Bull Terrier cards, a while back Calvin helped produce some gorilla cards that I forgot to put on his blog. They are available in red, green, purple and dark blue. They are £3.00 each and come with an envelope. Contact me through this site if you'd like some.

Now we have the kiln, Calvin has been trying out some of the different glazes he has. Here's three unusual ones he has.

Giraffe is finished!

Calvin has just completed his first commission done completely from start to finish within our house! Normally we have to get the firing in the kiln done else where but now we've got a wee kiln in the garage he's done the whole lot in the house. Great stuff!

We now just need to hope the person who commissioned it will like it.

Giraffe

Calvin has been commissioned to make a giraffe sculpture. He completed it on Saturday and it's now drying before going in to the kiln. Looks pretty sweet. Well done, Dude!

Red necklace

As well as the blue jewellery, Calvin made a red set of necklaces and bracelets.

Calvin's made some jewellery where he's carried on his gorilla series by incorporating some "gorilla teeth" into these cool wee necklaces and bracelets. Let me know if you like any or even want to buy one. Prices are very reasonable!

Chav Gorilla

Calvin has finished and glazed his Chav Gorilla. He's got his bright blue baseball cap, fat gold rope, can of lager and his bull terrier straining to rip your insides out.

Tolling of the Bell

Calvin's made a clay garden ornament/wind chime. Looks completely different to anything that Calvin's made before. It's about 12 inches high. It's also makes a nice chime.

Nick Park from Aardman

Well now, I found this old press cutting tonight of when Calvin had an article written about him in the Sunday Post whilst he was still at Primary school. Oscar winner Nick Park from Aardman bigging up Calvin's work is pretty smooth!
