Calvin is moving on 2

Both Sharlene and I would like to say how grateful we are to everyone who has helped Calvin blossom into the clever, talented, funny and loveable boy he is today.

We would like to thank Mrs Blackwood, Mr Paterson, Mrs Robertson, Mr Buggy, Miss Robb, Mrs Ali, Mrs Aitken, Mrs Lamb, Mrs Phair, Mrs Simms, Mrs Sapiatus and Miss Walker for everything you have done over the last seven years.

Keep up the good work.

Sharlene and Chris.

Calvin is moving on.

Calvin had his leaving party today at his Primary School. Lots of teachers from past and present were there to say goodbye to some of the kids who are moving to other schools.

Here are some pictures of him squeezing the life out of most of his teachers.

Kevin 11 is moving on.

Little bit more work done on Kevin 11.

It's cool now because Calvin is actually letting me take pictures at different stages where as before he wasn't too keen on getting them photographed.

Shaun's finished.

After a little gentle persuasion, Calvin has finished wee Shaun.

The model's about 6cm high. Looks pretty sweet.

Aardman stuff

Calvin has been pottering about making a Gromit and starting a Shaun the sheep after a request from the Gormans*.

Kevin 11 Wildvine

I'm not sure of the name of this character from Ben 10. I think his name is Kevin 11 Wildvine. Anyway, he looks pretty mean.

Calvin's started making this one in between other things.

Closer to finishing DJ

More work done on DJ from Disney's Cars.

The wee thruster things on the side have been added, speakers and exhaust things on the back and more decals and a fin on the back.

He might finish it one day!

Ben 10's Canonbolt

Calvin knocked this one together for me to say thanks for taking him to Toys R Us so he could get more Plasticine.

He's from Calvin's favourite cartoon at the moment - Ben 10. It's on the Cartoon Network at 8am every week day morning. He watches it whilst getting ready for school.

Starting an Elephant.

Calvin really likes elephants and knocks together models of them in no time. He's memorised the skeletal structure now and can get brilliant renditions in a matter of minutes. This picture show an elephants head at a very early stage.

Wallace & Gromit

Found these pictures from last month. Calvin's not made Wallace & Gromit for a while now. Maybe running out of cardigan green Plasticine!

V-rex 2

Calvin has added in more detail now. Wee knobbly bits down the back (that's a scientific term there) and ribs.

Cars

Here are some cars Calvin's working on. I think their names are Wingo, DJ and Snotrod from
Disney's Cars.

They are a kind of a work in progress, they might never be finished, but they are still pretty smooth.

Quasimodo

This is a gift Calvin is making to one of his teachers as a leaving present before he goes to high school after the summer.

The character is Calvin's version of Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Feathers McGraw

From Aardman's The Wrong Trousers, here's Feathers McGraw. Basically a penguin with a rubber glove on his head to look like a chicken in disguise.

Slug from Flushed Away

This slug measures about 5cm in height. His eyes are on cocktail sticks wrapped in Plasticine. He got this idea from watching the 'making of' sections on his Wallace and Gromit dvds.

V-Rex

Inspired by the dinosaur in Jurassic Park and Night At The Museum, here's Calvin's v-rex.

He makes this model very often, usually making the rough shape and adding only one leg. The final leg is positioned at the end as it's more difficult to hold the model with both on.

King Kong.

This King Kong measures about 8cm tall. As you can see, he's holding Ann Darrow in his clutches
- she's about half a centimetre in size (even with her blonde hair!).
