Archie the Westie

Today Calvin worked up the West Highland Terrier called Archie that he was asked to do. After the initial Plasticine version, he's taken on board the owners comments, and produced a pretty sweet piece of art.

I think this is going to be shipped over to Australia.

West Highland Terrier

This is a work in progress. Calvin often makes quick plasticine models of what he's about to make before he commences the large clay versions.

Here's a West Highland Terrier – a Scottie dog – that he's been commissioned to do.

Larger gorilla

Another piece now drying before firing. This is Calvin's largest gorilla yet. He's also decided to try a different technique for the fur.

Sorry for the poor pics – done with my phone in poor light.

Penguin on Ice

Calvin has also made a penguin that is moving along the ice on its belly. Just waiting on it to dry before firing.

Octopus

Here's the octopus Calvin has done this week. He just needs to wait for it to dry before it goes in the kiln.

Arts Trust Scotland

Good news today. Calvin got some funding from Arts Trust Scotland today in the form of a cheque. It will help him to fully equip a wee studio and help pay for all his materials that he needs too.

Thank you very much guys from Calvin.

Gorilla cards and envelope

As well as the English Bull Terrier cards, a while back Calvin helped produce some gorilla cards that I forgot to put on his blog. They are available in red, green, purple and dark blue. They are £3.00 each and come with an envelope. Contact me through this site if you'd like some.

LIMITED EDITION: We have also just done a small run of pink/magenta gorilla cards too!

English Bull Terrier cards

Calvin has produced a limited run on English Bull Terrier cards in four colours (Dark Blue, Magenta, Turquoise and Violet) which are now on sale. Contact me through this website if you'd like to purchase any – they are £3.00 each with envelope.

The dog comes from the recently sold sculpture of the Chav gorilla holding back the dog from attacking.
