Making a house Part 2

Last night at the art class Calvin finished his clay house. It'll be fired over the next few days. Looks like a good result for his first attempt at a house.

Gromit

That's Gromit done now too.

Feathers McGraw

And another one.

Wallace and Gromit

Calvin's watching The Wrong Trousers (again) and decided to make Wallace.

Making a house

Calvin's been going along to art classes at night at a local school where he's learning different skills with clay. Here's his first attempt at making a house. Probably finish it off next week.

Golden Retriever

Calvin's made a model for one of his teachers. She gave Calvin some pictures to use as reference. He's charging her five pounds.

Glenmorangie giraffes

Calvin copied a wooden giraffe carving that's given as part of a Glenmorangie gift box. Love the colours!

Seahorse

Calvin did this as part of his art exam at school.

Cloverfield

He made this ugly monster last week.

Cannonbolt

He made Cannonbolt this morning

T-Rex 2

Calvin has put a jaw bone on it now that opens and shuts. Clever boy.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Calvin is making a t-rex out of clay. Goodness on knows what size it'll be as the head's pretty large.

Mega Shark

All finished. Calvin needs to work out a way of making things set hard in clay as the tips of the fins have crumbled a wee bit.

Still looks a pretty good model though. Calvin is sending this over to David Latt too.

Giant Octopus

Calvin has finished the Giant Octopus that he's sending over to his new best friend David Latt (the producer of Mega Shark v.s the Giant Octopus). Hopefully it'll arrive over in California in one piece.

He's made the tentacles with blood on the end like the shark has just bitten them off.

Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus 2

Calvin has started making the large model!

He's using air drying clay from the Early Learning Centre and is looks pretty smooth so far. He's going to make the octopus wrap around the shark.

God knows how we're going to get it shipped safely over to the US but that's a worry for another day.

Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus

Calvin got contacted by the producer of the movie Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus after he saw this blog site. He asked if Calvin could make him a wee model for his desk.

I managed to get hold of the Plasticene model he'd made back in October at my mum's house and I've taken another few photographs.

Calvin's going to make him a larger clay version.
